Questions I get shouted across parking lots

Are you with the lift company?

No. Banff Summit Ticket Guide is an independent planning guide. It is not affiliated with any lift or attraction operator. I do not sell tickets and I never process payments. If a poster or a search ad made that unclear, that is on the ad, not on a hidden shop behind this page.

How long is the boardwalk, really?

Most people: twenty to forty minutes one way, stairs included. I have seen fit hikers do it faster and I have seen families take an hour because every bench was a negotiation.

Can I show up without a timed slot?

Sometimes the gate still has room. Often it does not. I would not drive from Calgary on a Saturday in August and gamble. Read how admission works, then deal with the operator, not with me.

Is the summit restaurant worth it?

It is expensive. The view does part of the charging. If you are already irritated by the price of a sandwich in town, eat before you ride.

What about the evening run?

Same cabin, later clock, colder air. Night on the ridge is fine if you dressed for it. It is a poor surprise for kids who are already done with stairs.

Will I get a signal for the QR code?

Sometimes. Screenshot the e-ticket in town. I am not your cell provider.
